Yes I am beyond frustrated with Miss Ali.  I have never dealt with such a stubborn thing.  She will be so good about potty training and then just do something totally wrong.  Thankfully she will poop on the pad...right after letting her outside to do it, she comes back inside to go on the pad.  AT least that one is before I get up!

It is the peeing thing that I can't stand.  I have never known a dog that will pee in their bed, get out of there bed and pee right in front of it, pee on my blanket that is on my foot, and the big one...she has started peeing on my couch where I sit.  Do you think she doesn't like me! lol

Seriously...I need help!  I feel like I need to kennel her now when I am just in the other room for a few minutes.  All of the times she has peed on things, she has not been in from outside less than 30 minutes.

I even had to pull of my rug.  We thought it was Lily but we soon learned it was Ali doing all the peeing and Lily was just marking it at night or in her blind state thinking it was the pad at night.

OH MY, that is not good. I know one of my pups was peeing in my bed GRRRRR and I took him to the vet and he had a infection. When it was cleared up he stopped until DH went in for surgery and was gone for 2 weeks GRRRRRRRRR but now that daddy is home he has stopped again. I sure don't know what else to tell you but I do understand your problem. Might ask the vet about it too, mine is really good with behavior problems... GL...

Try spraying something like Boundary that keeps the dog away from certain areas?

I was going to suggest the vet too.  My friends had the same problem and had to put their dog on special dog food to stop the problem.

Hope you get it figured out soon!

OOOOHHHH no. House breaking can be tough, the biggest thing that is needed is a schedule

and you need to use that crate. I know, we don't want to use the crates, but it really is the

best way to get them trained (and a schedule). If you aren't with her, in the crate she goes

or you tether her to you with a leash so she can't sneak off and pee where she isn't supposed

to pee. Also, if you take her out to potty and she doesn't, back in the crate she goes. In

five minutes or so, take her out and potty again, same thing, she stays in the crate (empty)

until she pottys outside. And then really praise her when she goes outside. The crate has

to be just big enough that she can lay down and no bigger. Dogs normally don't like to

soil their beds (I know some are pigs and don't care). Make sure you are using a key word

when you take her out when you get her outside, like go potty, or pee or something. All

of my dogs will pee on command but that has taken lots and lots of practice.

The other thing that might help is to limit her water intake. She is a small dog and if she

drinks a lot her little bladder can't hold it for long.

A schedule (with potty breaks every 1/2 to hour until she is trained well) and limited

intake and constant watching are the best ways to handle this. And praise, praise, praise,

when she pottys outside.

It is a lot of work, more work I think than potty training a child!

Hope this helps. And we really need to see some new pictures of Miss Ali.

Thank You Terry.  I will start trying that and see if it will work.

I was waiting on taking more pictures until she looks much prettier.  With our warm weather, she has taken to shedding big time.  lol  She looks horrible with her coat right now.  I can's wait till she calms down some because I am so tired of waking up at  night with an Ali hair in my mouth.   I have thought seriously of getting a crate cover to keep her hairs in the crate.  However I don't think it would really help.  It is the ceiling fan that is making them fly into my mouth.  I know it want be much longer because Lily has already calmed down...until the big summer heat hits.  Poor Ali....she really doesn't do well in heat and she so loves to be outside.

I know what you mean about the shedding. you might try putting her on a supplement

that helps stop the shedding. She will do this twice a year although it shouldn't be as bad

since she has been spayed. Also she is probably loosing her puppy hair and getting her

adult hair.

Does Olivia still like her?

We still haven't spayed her...if that will help the shedding it will be on the bill list for June.  Lily has to have her ACHT test done the first on May.  I still think Ali is not fertile, she still has not gone into season and she is 10 months old now.

YES Olivia still adores her.  Ali has to go out with her when she is playing and when it is bed time, she gets her and off they go.  Her cage is right next to her bed.

Ali is fine. Toys tend to go into heat later than larger breed dogs. Getting her spayed

will help with the shedding problem but she will still have the seasonal shed, just not

as bad. There are food supplements that you can put them on which will significantly

decrease the amount of shedding.

Glad to hear Olivia still adores her.
